This privacy policy applies to the Sites, all top-level domains redirecting to the Sites, and all products and services offered by Myrtle Software Ltd.

In most cases, this means we will keep your information for as long as you continue to use our services and for a reasonable period of time afterwards for support and marketing purposes. After that we will delete it other than where we lawfully need to keep any data for audit or legal reasons.
We shall keep your information for not longer than 10 years from receipt subject to your right to unsubscribe or be forgotten at any time.

Myrtle Software Ltd provides an interactive code sandbox and compiler playground (the “Sandbox”) that allows users to select example Python code or submit their own code for compilation and performance analysis. This sandbox is at sandbox.vollo.myrtle.ai

The Sandbox is provided for evaluation and demonstration purposes only and is not intended for the processing of production, personal, or confidential data.

Categories of Data Processed

When you use the Sandbox, Myrtle Software Ltd may process the following categories of data:

User-submitted code, including any text, comments, or data contained within that code
Technical and usage data, including IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and interaction logs
Compilation and performance metadata, such as code size, compiler output, error messages, and latency estimates

User-submitted code may not contain personal data.

Prohibited Use

You must not submit to the Sandbox:

personal data relating to yourself or any third party
confidential, sensitive, or regulated information
authentication credentials, API keys, secrets, or tokens
proprietary customer, partner, or third-party data

Myrtle Software Ltd does not require personal data for the operation of the Sandbox.

Purpose of Processing

Sandbox data is processed solely for the following purposes:

compiling and analysing submitted code
generating performance and latency estimates
operating, maintaining, and securing the Sandbox
diagnosing errors and improving platform reliability

Sandbox data is processed to improve the VOLLO product family and to improve the Sandbox

Lawful Basis for Processing

Sandbox-related personal data is processed on the basis of:

legitimate interests, namely the provision, security, and improvement of the Sandbox
legal obligations, where applicable

Where consent is required by law (for example, in relation to non-essential cookies), it is obtained separately.

Storage and Retention

Myrtle Software Ltd applies strict data minimisation and retention controls to Sandbox data:

User-submitted code is retained for no longer than 90 days from submission
Sandbox logs, technical metadata, and compiler diagnostics are retained for no longer than 90 days
After the 90-day period, Sandbox data is deleted

Data may be retained for a shorter period where operationally possible.

Use and Reuse of Submitted Code

User-submitted code is processed solely to provide the Sandbox functionality
User-submitted code is not used to train machine learning models
User-submitted code is not shared with third parties
Myrtle Software Ltd does not claim ownership of user-submitted code

Automated Processing

Sandbox submissions are processed automatically using Myrtle Software Ltd’s proprietary compiler and associated tooling.

No automated decision-making producing legal or similarly significant effects on users is carried out in connection with the Sandbox.

Security and Access Controls

Myrtle Software Ltd implements technical and organisational measures designed to protect Sandbox data, including:

sandboxed execution and isolation of submitted code
access controls restricting internal access on a need-to-know basis
network security and monitoring
encryption of data in transit

These measures are designed to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, disclosure, or misuse.

Third-Party Service Providers

Myrtle Software Ltd may use third-party service providers to host or operate the Sandbox infrastructure.

Such providers:

act only on Myrtle Software Ltd’s instructions
are subject to contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations
do not have independent rights to use Sandbox data

International Data Transfers

Where Sandbox data is processed outside the United Kingdom, Myrtle Software Ltd ensures that appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK data protection law, including adequacy regulations or approved contractual mechanisms.
